INGREDIENTS:

1 Carbonaut Gluten Free Not so Thin Pizza Crust
2 oz Pesto
4 Artichoke hearts in oil, quartered
6 Grape tomatos
2 Tbsp Black olives, pitted and chopped
1 Tbsp Olive oil
1 Cup Arugula
1/2 Cup Balsamic vinegar

The key to this pizza is the homemade balsamic reduction, which typically calls for added sugar. However, we have found that balsamic vinegar does not need sugar to produce a sweet and tangy reduction. The only way to confirm our claim is to make the recipe and experience the overview effect yourself.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place vinegar in saucepan. Simmer on low while stirring occasionally until reduced and slightly syrupy. Set aside to cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 475°F.
  3. Remove pizza crust from freezer, remove packaging, and place on greased baking sheet.
  4. Spread pesto over frozen crust.
  5. Top with artichokes, tomatoes, and olives.
  6. Drizzle evenly with olive oil and bake for 12-16 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, and top with fresh arugula.
  8. Drizzle with balsamic reduction, cut in quarters and serve immediately.
